In this role, you will support hospital and corporate leaders by delivering reliable analytics that drive decisions across quality, safety, patient experience, volume, and financial performance. You will work closely with directors and vice presidents to translate business questions into clear, actionable dashboards and reporting solutions. This is a business facing analytics role that blends data exploration, SQL, BI development, and problem solving to improve operational insight across the enterprise.
You will contribute to a lean, high performing analytics team responsible for designing automated, scalable reporting assets. This role is ideal for an early career analyst who enjoys understanding the why behind requests, learning complex healthcare operations, and building intuitive dashboards that leaders rely on every day.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop automated and scalable business intelligence solutions for clinical and operational leaders
• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting assets across quality, safety, volume, and financial metrics
• Write and refine SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and analyze data
• Standardize analytic approaches and identify efficient data sources across reporting domains
• Partner with Enterprise Data Warehouse and BI teams to ensure data accuracy and optimal data structures
• Define scope, problem statements, timelines, and priorities with senior stakeholders
• Improve dashboard usability including filters, layout, and visual design
• Train hospital and ambulatory operators on how to interpret and use reporting tools
• Support ad hoc analysis and maintain ongoing reporting assets
Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; Master’s degree is a strong plus
• 2–3 years of experience in analytics, BI, or healthcare data environments; consulting experience with fast learning cycles also considered
• Intermediate SQL proficiency including SELECT, JOINs, UNIONs, validation, and duplicate identification
• Hands on experience developing dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, or similar tools
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities
• Strong communication and problem solving skills with the ability to ask thoughtful why questions
• High analytical curiosity, good business judgment, and the ability to translate clinical or operational requests into actionable insights
• Comfort engaging directly with directors and vice presidents and operating in a lean, high accountability environment
