Role description
Position Title: Apache Solr Admin location: New York, NY Work mode: Hybrid 3 days a week onsite (Need local candidate who can do final onsite interview) Duration: 06+ months Rate: 45-52/hr. Visa: US Citizen and Green Card only Note - (Preferred -Finance or banking domain profiles) JD: β€’ Install, configure, and maintain Apache Solr clusters across multiple environments. β€’ Manage Solr cores, collections, schemas, and configurations to ensure optimal search performance. β€’ Monitor Solr clusters for availability, scalability, indexing throughput, and query latency. β€’ Perform capacity planning, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) testing for Solr infrastructure. β€’ Troubleshoot issues related to indexing pipelines, query performance, replication, and cluster stability. β€’ Implement security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and access control. β€’ Apply patches, upgrades, and hotfixes while minimizing downtime and ensuring cluster reliability. β€’ Work closely with development and operations teams to support integration of Solr with APIs, applications, and data pipelines. β€’ Automate administrative tasks through scripts and monitoring tools to improve efficiency. β€’ Maintain detailed documentation for Solr environments, including configuration changes, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.
