Role description
We are seeking a highly skilled API Developer with a strong background in health plan operations and deep experience in C#, Azure Bicep, and Azure Service Bus. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience rewriting legacy processes and modernizing systems in a health plan environment. A solid understanding of the claims process is essential. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C#/.NET in a Microsoft Azure environment. β€’ Create and manage infrastructure-as-code using Azure Bicep for consistent and scalable deployments. β€’ Implement and manage messaging solutions using Azure Service Bus for event-driven architecture. β€’ Analyze, refactor, and rewrite existing business processes and services to optimize performance and scalability. β€’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, DevOps, and solution architects. β€’ Leverage knowledge of health plan operations and the claims lifecycle to build efficient and compliant solutions. β€’ Ensure security, logging, and monitoring are integrated into all APIs and services. β€’ Participate in code reviews and technical discussions, driving best practices in software engineering. Required Qualifications: β€’ 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong emphasis on API development using C#/.NET. β€’ Experience in the healthcare payer space, specifically claims processing workflows. β€’ Proven expertise in Azure Service Bus and Azure Bicep. β€’ Strong background in rewriting/refactoring legacy applications and processes. β€’ Deep understanding of API standards, security (OAuth2, OpenID Connect), and versioning. β€’ Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. β€’ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. β€’ Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., X12, HL7, FHIR). β€’ Experience working in agile or SAFe development environments. β€’ Certifications in Azure development or architecture.
