Role description
Title: API Developer V Location: Charlotte, NC (3-days onsite, 2-days remote Hybrid schedule) Note: This is a W2 contract role – 1099, C2C, and 3rd party candidates will NOT be considered The API Developer will serve as a technical authority on all phases of software development, including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of the API platform and tooling. They will be responsible for supporting the API platform, including implementing upgrades and developing applications, frameworks, and tools for the API Core Engineering Division to improve developer productivity and SDLC processes. They will develop software applications using Node.js technologies and related programming languages (JavaScript or TypeScript), comprehensive unit tests using Node.js testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipeline tools and frameworks using GitLab, Python, and Shell Scripts. They will be responsible for interacting with other development teams within the enterprise to support the adoption of the API gateway and frameworks that we build, help resolve issues surrounding adoption and usage, and support questions or clarifications or issues from the consumer teams. Position Qualifications: β€’ 3-5 years of software development experience using Node.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript β€’ Experience developing APIs or Microservices using REST or API Gateway, preferably Kong β€’ Experience building applications for public cloud platforms, preferably AWS β€’ Experience with Python programming and scripting β€’ Experience developing comprehensive unit tests using Jest, Mocha, Chai or an equivalent testing framework β€’ Experience using DevOps tools and technologies such as GitLab and Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform β€’ Experience using Source Version Control (SVC), such as Git β€’ Experience in cloud environments preferred β€’ A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field; relevant AWS Certifications preferred Note: This is a W2 contract role – 1099, C2C, and 3rd party candidates will NOT be considered
