Job Description: API Developer (Workato) Position: API Developer Location: Plantation, FL (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH – local candidates only) Duration: Contract (ongoing, option to hire) – Sponsorship available About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced API Developer with niche expertise in Workato. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API development, SQL, and enterprise system integration, with the ability to design and implement scalable integration solutions. This is a senior-level role requiring deep hands-on experience and leadership in API development best practices. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain API integrations using Workato. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Optimize integration flows, error handling, and performance tuning. • Work with SQL databases for data transformations and backend support. • Ensure best practices in security, scalability, and reusability of APIs. • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on API and Workato development. • Support ongoing improvements, upgrades, and issue resolutions in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications • 10–15 years of overall software development experience. • 2–3+ years of hands-on Workato development (mandatory). • Strong API development and integration expertise. • Solid experience with SQL (queries, stored procedures, optimization). • Workato certification(s) required. • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
