Job Title: Apigee API Developer Location Dallas,TXTampa, FLJersey City, NJ~ REMOTE W2 & C2C JD: Role Descriptions: An API Developer with Apigee is a software professional specializing in using Google Clouds Apigee platform to design| develop| deploy| and manage secure and scalable APIs| which act as a bridge between backend services and client applications. Key ResponsibilitiesAPI Development Design| develop| and maintain API proxies and shared flows using Apigee Edge| Apigee X| or Apigee Hybrid.Security Implementation Apply and configure security policies such as OAuth 2.0| JWT (JSON Web Tokens)| mTLS (mutual TLS)| and API keys to ensure secure access control.Traffic Management Implement policies for traffic management| including caching| throttling| rate limiting| and volume control.Integration and Deployment Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architects| backend developers| DevOps) to integrate APIs with various systems and platforms| including cloud environments (GCP| AWS| Azure)| and buildmaintain CICD pipelines for deployment using tools like Jenkins| Git| and Terraform.Monitoring and Troubleshooting Monitor API performance using tools like Apigee Analytics| GCP Stackdriver| or Splunk| and troubleshootdebug issues promptly.Documentation Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs| including specifications (e.g.| OpenAPISwagger)| diagrams| and user guides| and publish them to developer portals.Lifecycle Management Manage the entire API lifecycle| from design and development to testing| deployment| and versioning.Performance Optimization Optimize API performance and scalability to handle high traffic volumes and ensure reliability. Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Proficiency Extensive hands-on experience with Apigee (Edge| X| or Hybrid) and proficiency in API design principles (REST and SOAP).Programming Languages Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript| Java| or Python for implementing custom logic within API policies.Cloud Experience Experience working with cloud platforms| particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)| as Apigee is a Google Cloud offering.Tools Familiarity with development and testing tools like Postman| Swagger| Splunk| and Jenkins.Problem-Solving Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex API issues.Collaboration Ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment and communicate clearly with stakeholders and other development teams.
