Title Oracle Financials Business Analyst Location -prefer local to Rochester, NY/ open for Remote 100% Duration Contract Job Summary: Oracle Financials Business Analyst Job Summary: The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) plays a critical role in the implementation and ongoing evolution of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP as the organization transitions from legacy JDE/JDA systems. Acting as a key liaison between finance and accounting business stakeholders and the technical delivery team, the BSA ensures business requirements are accurately captured, translated into functional specifications, and successfully implemented across Oracle Fusion ERP modules. In addition to supporting the initial deployment, the BSA leads and supports change management activities associated with ongoing enhancements, system changes, and quarterly upgrades, including impact analysis, stakeholder communication, and user readiness. This role is central to driving finance process optimization, supporting system configuration, and ensuring sustained user adoption and a consistent, effective user experience over time. Essential Functions: • Gather, analyze, and document ERP business requirements across General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Expenses, and Financial Reporting. • Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and endtoend ERP process flows . • Partner with solution architects and technical teams to design, configure, and deliver Oracle Fusion ERP solutions. • Support ERP data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover readiness. • Develop and execute ERP test scenarios for SIT, UAT, and regression testing; coordinate defect resolution. • Support change management activities, including impact assessments, communications, training materials, and user readiness. • Provide golive and hyper care support to ensure successful adoption. • Serve as a functional point of contact for post golive ERP support, enhancements, and issue resolution. • Assess and support testing for Oracle Fusion ERP quarterly updates and new functionality. • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of ERP processes and configurations. Education and Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role in large-scale enterprise system implementations. • Demonstrable experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP (Financials) implementations is highly desirable. • Prior experience with JDE/JDA systems and understanding of their functionalities is a significant advantage. • Experience in business process re-engineering and optimization. • Experience in business process re-engineering and optimization. • Experience with system testing and user training Knowledge & Skills: • Strong understanding of enterprise finance processes (RecordtoReport, ProcuretoPay, OrdertoCash, Fixed Assets, Cash Management). • Familiarity with system integration concepts (APIs, web services, ETL). • Proficiency in creating process flows, data models, and use case diagrams. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice-versa. • Strong facilitation and negotiation skills.
