Job Title: Technical Lead (Ins Ops – Appian) Location: New Jersey, Connecticut, New York (Hybrid) Duration: Long term Contract About the job As a Technical Lead (Ins Ops – Appian Underwriting Workbench) specializing in Appian components such as Process Designing, SAIL, Rules, Security, and Integration. Appian Designer, low-code development, BPMN, and data modelling. Understanding of integrations with REST, SOAP, and other systems; knowledge of Appian architecture and infrastructure you will spearhead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of our cutting-edge software solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the technical design and solutioning processes, crafting and deploying high-performance, scalable microservices using Spring Boot and other relevant technologies. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java and Java Script development, Microservices architecture, and a passion for delivering high-quality software. Know your team (“Legacy Rewired, Engineering the Future”) Must Have: • 8+ years of progressive experience in software development, or technology leadership roles • 5+ years of experience in Appian Platform, 3+ years of experience as Tech Lead. • 5+ years of experience in Java & React. • Appian Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of Appian components such as Process Designing, SAIL, Rules, Security, and Integration. • Proficiency in Appian Designer, low-code development, BPMN, and data modeling • Integration and Architecture: Understanding of integrations with REST, SOAP, and other systems; knowledge of Appian architecture and infrastructure • Strong understanding of Java and Java Script implementation design patterns such as Builder pattern, Factory pattern, Visitor pattern, etc. • Strong understanding of Java, Java Script & REACT including exception/error handling best practices. • Familiarity with AWS Cloud platform. • In-depth knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards. • Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies. • Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide technical teams. • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a significant advantage. • Experience in optimizing web and mobile applications, enhancing their scalability, operating speeds, and making them responsive on various formats. • Experience in creating dynamic content for websites and digital platforms. • Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools. • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. • Ability to work in an agile development environment. • Strong knowledge on creation of data models based on the provided requirements. • Strong knowledge of dependency management tools such as Maven/Gradle. • Strong knowledge on Clean Architecture and Clean code practices • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with excellent understanding of system development methodologies, techniques, and tools. • Responsible for leading the delivery teams from end-to-end delivery standpoint. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • One team approach and team collaboration. • Positive mindset to learn new technologies. • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures.
