Role DevOps Engineer Hybrid Role in Denver , CO Must reside in Denver, CO relocation candidates will not be considered. This role is long-term contract that will be hybrid (3-days onsite) in downtown Denver office and 2-days remote. We have 3 roles with one being Cloud/DevOps Engineer (generalist) and 1-Cloud DevOps Engineer with ArgoCD specialty. Attached is job description for each with overview below. Must have 4/5 Skills: Looking for DevOps Generalist AWS EKS Terraform Kubernetes Python Argo Nice to Have Skills: Argo Helm GitOps Cloud/DevOps Eng (ArgoCD specialty) Job/Project Overview: They are going to self-host Argo workflows (that’s the plan) likely hosting in 3-4 regions around the globe (all in cloud) – have to maintain and deploy new versions and they don’t want to be manually doing this over and over again for every version and region so they need someone who can help them automate that deployment and maintenance of these systems Talking architecture for this project – platform as a service solution, so someone comes in and buys their product/solution and they need to spin up new AWS account, terraform on backend to automate creation of AWS then use Argo CD to define the application to be deployed to Kubernetes inside of their account Ex: Tell Argo CD you need these 4 microservices running in Kubernetes and Argo CD will take configuration of what they want and then manage/deploy all those components in Kubernetes, so using it as a declarative implementation and how they want app deployed Argo Workflow side – maybe need to update configuration or YAML file some place, maybe not one thing but 5 things that need to happen and it needs to happen in sequence, if there’ a failure then something else needs to happen, using Argo Workflow to define sequence of events and reports on status, provide audits Need to build Argo from scratch, not currently in place Team Structure: working with 2 Engineers Required Skills: Argo CD, Argo Workflow, Kubernetes, Soft Skills: stressing guys that are doers (not thinkers) good knowledge and experience with a preference for action.
