Role description
Required Skills & Experience Proven experience with distributed systems design supporting production-scale AI platforms Hands-on experience with AI evaluation frameworks (model quality, relevance, latency, cost, and reliability) Strong experience designing and implementing RAG (Retrieval‑Augmented Generation) architectures Demonstrated ownership of cost governance for AI/LLM systems (compute, inference, embeddings, storage, tooling) Strong understanding of and experience operating within data governance frameworks (enterprise standards, controls, compliance) Job Description The Lead AI Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and governing production‑grade AI systems at enterprise scale. This role leads the architecture and evaluation of Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions, ensuring they are reliable, cost‑effective, and aligned with data and AI governance standards. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in distributed systems, AI evaluation frameworks, and modern LLM‑based architectures, with a strong understanding of tradeoffs across model selection, retrieval strategies, and real‑time versus offline AI workflows. This role partners closely with engineering, platform, and governance teams to ensure AI solutions are scalable, observable, and sustainable in production.
