Role description
AI Engineer III Preferred Location: SFO, CA, and NYC, NY. Description: FRM Gen AI / Automation Resource About the Role: We are seeking a Senior AI/ML developer, with technical depth, good requirement analysis, project management and excellent documentation skills who can help our finance risk management team develop Data and AI solutions to automate control testing procedures and identify trends/anomalies in data Basic Qualification: Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis. Hands-on experience and advanced prompt engineering techniques with Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic, Mistral). Experience building AI-powered workflows, preferably with LangChain or LangGraph. Comfort with data science tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, and other common Python libraries. Experience building web/data apps using Flask and/or Streamlit. Working knowledge of statistics, data validation, and anomaly detection techniques Experience with Data visualization tools(Tableau) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders. Solid project management experience, including the ability to build projects from scratch independently. Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with evaluating AI models, using tools like OpenAI Evals, LangSmith, or custom evaluation frameworks Experience in developing automation/technology solutions for Finance, Risk & Audit teams Prior experience at Uber or familiarity with Uber's internal developer ecosystem, including Databook, Querybuilder, Michelangelo, uWorc and internal automation pipelines. What You'll do: Spearhead the design and implementation of automation solutions to enhance the control environment's efficiency. Continuously identify opportunities to leverage automation, analytics, and AI/ML capabilities for process optimization. Construct queries and scripts to transform raw data into actionable insights. Develop and maintain data analytics models and tools to recognize and evaluate key organizational risks. Design data visualizations and dashboards that align with business needs. Provide data-driven recommendations to enhance risk management processes. Take full responsibility for the development and project tracking of deliverables from initiation to completion. Contribute to the advancement of Gen AI prototypes, prompt designs, and model evaluation frameworks to foster ongoing innovation. Assist with regular operational tasks as needed and requested by stakeholders.
