Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Join our team as a Senior AI Data Scientist and take ownership of crucial projects that leverage large datasets to drive innovation in the finance sector. In this senior role, you will lead initiatives from inception through delivery while mentoring junior data scientists and building business-critical tools, including an internal pricing engine from scratch. Key Responsibilities: • Own projects end-to-end, including tool development, parameter definition, and delivery • Lead design and prototyping of new data-driven tools for the business • Build and maintain data models and prototypes for business use • Mentor and oversee junior team members What We’re Looking For: • Significant hands-on experience with large datasets, especially in finance • Strong background in data modeling, pricing logic, and developing data-driven prototypes • Experience in a finance environment (hedge fund, investment firm, or investment house ideal) • Proven PM/project ownership experience, defining requirements, driving execution, and delivering results • Track record of leading initiatives from start to finish Technical & Analytical Scope • Hands-on work with large data sets • Strong involvement in: • Data modeling • Pricing logic • Prototyping tools used by stakeholders • Experience building tools that support fund‑related use cases Domain & Background Preferences • Finance background • Ideal candidate profile could look like: • Hedge fund or investment firm environment or • Experience creating tools used by funds is strongly preferred but not required Team Structure: You will lead a team with one junior member already on board and contribute to hiring another. Pay range and compensation package The hourly pay range for this position is $70 to $80 on a W2 basis.
