Senior AI/ML Engineer (NLP) Location: Washington D.C., Long-term Contract - (3-4 days Onsite/Week) Role Description You will focus on developing an advanced messaging system that leverages structured data and cutting-edge language models to provide intuitive, natural communication across multiple languages. You'll also work on enhancing existing action resolution modules to improve user experiences, especially when they deviate from standard expectations. This role requires a robust background in machine learning, system integration, and multilingual NLP, and you'll play a pivotal role in advancing voice platform. Core Responsibilities • Design, implement, and deliver action resolution systems that support flagship products like Xfinity Voice Remote and Sky Voice Remote. • Apply scientific knowledge in NLP and ML to analyze and collect data, perform analyses, create hypotheses, design and implement solutions, and conduct experiments for evaluation. • Work on real-world problems related to voice, language understanding, and dialog within the entertainment, digital home, and customer service domains, impacting millions of Xfinity customers. • Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain applications and services within a microservice architecture capable of handling millions of requests daily. • Collaborate with other researchers, engineers, and product managers across Comcast to design customer-centric solutions that balance fairness with business value. • Demonstrate strong responsibility and accountability for the team's work, its quality, and timely delivery. Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. • 10+ years of relevant work experience. • Proficiency in Python development and extensive experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch. • Experience with Natural Language Processing, machine learning, deep learning, optimization techniques, and evaluation methodologies. • Demonstrated experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) (GPT, PHI) and integrating them with complex real-time data processing and low-latency systems, including methods for optimizing LLM prompts and using a RAG architecture. • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) for deploying and managing ML models. • Experience in handling multilingual data and building systems that support multiple languages. • Proven ability to research new ideas, formulate creative solutions, and present sophisticated ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
