About the team
PPLโs Repertoire team are experts when it comes to music data. Through managing the PPL Repertoire Database, they provide services and analysis on data submitted by PPL Members and Licensees to ensure that requirements set out in the PPL Data Policy are met. Their work ensures that we can maximise revenue generation and pay-through. The Repertoire team also works to resolve key data gaps at source wherever possible, as well as promoting industry standards and working on international projects to improve music data quality.
What youโll be doing:
The role of Assistant Repertoire Data Analyst will be to support the Repertoire Data Analysis team in delivering reporting and analysis of music data to the business. You will also work with licensees to improve the quality of their music reporting and the resulting accuracy of PPLโs distributions to its members. The tools used in this role include Excel as well as the opportunity to develop skills in Tableau, SQL and Snowflake.
Key Responsibilities will include:
โข Working under the direction of the Senior Repertoire Data Analyst to support the delivery of both regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis to the business
โข Supporting the creation of new reporting capabilities and improving the quality of existing reporting
โข Obtaining an understanding of the repertoire department processes, systems and metrics in order to ensure reporting and analysis are accurate and complete
โข Providing accurate, professional, and timely responses to communications both internally and externally
โข Working effectively with colleagues within the team and other departments around the business, improving data flows and understanding, and ensuring a high level of customer service
What youโll need:
โข A good understanding of data analysis techniques and tools (Excel)
โข A good understanding of data visualisations techniques (Tableau)
โข To be comfortable handling large data sets and extracting actionable insights (SQL)
โข An eye for detail โ ability to interpret data to spot patterns and issues
โข The ability to problem solve and work with others to find suitable solutions
โข The ability to communicate at all levels and to adapt your communication style to suit the audience
