About the Role
The Portfolio Insights Lead will serve as a strategic partner, leading high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that drive portfolio-level decision-making. This role combines deep analytical expertise with strong leadership and project management capabilities to deliver insights and lead strategic initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness and medical strategy execution.
You will be responsible for both shaping the global medical insights strategy and leading other priority projects that span the medical portfolio—ranging from capability building and process optimization to strategic planning and executive-level reporting.
Key Responsibilities

• Insights Strategy & Execution
•
• - Design and implement frameworks for generating, synthesizing, and communicating actionable insights across the medical portfolio.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Medical Communications, Evidence Generation, Commercial, R&D) to ensure insights inform strategic decisions.
- Develop dashboards and tools to track insight trends, utilization, and impact.
- Lead maturity assessments and benchmarking of Client’s insights capabilities.

• Portfolio-Level Project Leadership
•
• - Lead or co-lead strategic initiatives that support priorities, such as capability development, operational excellence, and strategic planning.
- Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment with timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and updates.

• Collaboration & Influence
•
• - Serve as a thought partner to senior leaders across GMA and related functions.
- Facilitate alignment across global, regional, and local teams to ensure consistent execution of strategic initiatives.
- Contribute to a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field; advanced degree (e.g., PharmD, PhD, MBA) preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with at least 3 years in Medical Affairs or healthcare consulting.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives.
- Proven leadership capabilities and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a consulting environment, especially healthcare or life sciences consulting.
- Familiarity with medical insight platforms, CRM systems, and AI tools for data analysis.
- Global or regional experience in a matrixed organization.
