Atlassian Organization & Site Admin (Engineering-Focused) 100% Remote Contract (Potential for Hire) $65-75/hr We are seeking an individual to work with a Broadcast Media & Entertainment leader located in New York, New York. As the Atlassian Organization & Site Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and scaling the enterprise Atlassian ecosystem. In this role you will have the opportunity to act as both the Org Admin (enterprise-level identity, governance, automation) and Site Admin (Jira, Confluence, and product-level administration). This is an exciting opportunity to join a new Media leader in the space, anchored by leading news, sports, and entertainment content. Minimum Qualifications: • 4–6+ years of experience administering Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence required; Bitbucket or Jira Align a plus). • Proven experience with Atlassian Organization Admin responsibilities (Atlassian Access, SAML, SCIM, MFA, governance). • Hands-on experience as a Site Admin (configuring Jira projects, Confluence spaces, workflows, permission schemes). • Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, bash, or similar). • Experience with Atlassian REST APIs and webhooks to build automation and reporting. • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) for SaaS configuration. • Deep knowledge of identity & access management concepts and integrations with enterprise identity providers (Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace). • Experience supporting large-scale Atlassian environments (5,000+ users). • Strong troubleshooting skills across both identity issues and site-level configurations. • Atlassian Certifications • Identity & Access certifications (Okta, Microsoft SC-300). • Experience with Atlassian Analytics or data visualization/reporting tools. • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and integrations with Atlassian products. • Experience with Atlassian Forge or Connect for custom app/integration development. • ITIL Foundation or other ITSM framework knowledge. Responsibilities: • Own Atlassian Organization and Atlassian Access administration, including SAML SSO, SCIM provisioning, domain verification, and MFA enforcement. • Engineer automation solutions for user lifecycle management, group provisioning, and license reporting using APIs and scripting. • Administer cross-product integrations (Jira, Confluence, Jira Align, Compass, Bitbucket, Trello, Atlassian Analytics). • Manage and technically evaluate Marketplace apps, ensuring security, compliance, and redundancy controls. • Provide org-wide reporting, dashboards, and analytics using APIs and Atlassian Analytics. • Partner with IT and security on audits, compliance, and risk assessments. • Serve as primary Site Admin for Jira and Confluence Cloud instances. • Manage project/space creation and governance, ensuring consistent standards across the enterprise. • Configure and optimize workflows, permission schemes, issue types, custom fields, and notification schemes. • Support product admins, project leads, and teams by providing best practice guidance. • Troubleshoot site-level issues including permissions, app conflicts, and product configurations. • Assist with instance clean-up, migrations, and standardization efforts. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to implement Jira/Confluence solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
