Role description
Role : Automation Lab Technician The need for an individual to serve as a technician for the team, and work alongside engineers to bring up new test infrastructure, maintain current test setups, execute tests, perform basic analysis for validity of test data, and troubleshoot when things go wrong to find root causes from technically complex systems.
Able to quickly travel between different buildings to support labs in different locations.
Expected to be available during standard working hours, and, potentially frequently longer working days and/or weekends, if the role/experiments demands it.
Expected to be available on-site 5x week.
Must-haves for Automation Lab Tech
Excellent debugging skills
Ability to learn new technologies fast
Interest in HW testing
Adjust to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Familiarity with Python, must be comfortable writing basic scripts, debugging small issues.
Good-to-haves for Lab Technician
Proficiency in Python (Must Have)
Experience in testing HW
Experience in building data visualization
Experience with Swift
Skills
BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience in building and maintaining automation lab infrastructure.
Experience in running automation tests, generating logs, and processing the data for triage and reporting.
Success Criteria:
All automation infrastructure runs smoothly, and issues that arise are root-caused and addressed correctly and in a timely manner
All experiments in the queue are performed in a timely manner and donβt pile up
All lab management tasks are performed in a timely manner and donβt pile up
Clear and timely communication with the team
Requests for support from the team are handled in a timely basis, and correctly (based on any available instructions and attention to detail)
