Job Title: AWS Cloud Developer (W2 Contract to Hire) Location: White Plains NY – Hybrid (3 Days/Week Onsite) Contract Duration: 6 months (then moving to perm after) About the Role: We are working with a client in the insurance industry who is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Developer to join their team on a contract basis. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with deep experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, Terraform, and containerized environments. You'll be responsible for building, maintaining, and evolving scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using modern AWS technologies. This is a great opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale cloud architecture in a highly regulated industry. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services. • Build and maintain highly available, secure, and scalable systems using containers (e.g., ECS, EKS, or Docker). • Implement best practices for AWS networking, including VPC design, routing, security groups, and IAM policies. • Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to deliver cloud solutions aligned with architectural and compliance standards. • Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues within cloud environments. Required Experience & Skills: • Strong commercial experience as a Cloud Developer with a primary focus on AWS. • Proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code principles. • Deep knowledge of AWS core services, including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, etc. • Experience working with containerized applications and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, ECS, EKS). • Solid understanding of AWS networking, including VPCs, subnets, NAT gateways, routing tables, and security configurations. • Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams. Nice to Have: • AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect). • Experience in regulated industries such as insurance or healthcare. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitLab, CodePipeline, or Jenkins. • Knowledge of serverless architecture patterns (e.g., API Gateway + Lambda).
