Role description
Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer Location: Trenton, New Jersey (Hybrid) Duration: Open for Full time and Contract Description The role involves development utilizing AWS services and APIs such as Lambda, S3, OpenSearch, EC2, DynamoDB, RDS, and API Gateway, while optimizing workflows through automation and ensuring best practices in security and compliance. Candidates should possess strong coding skills (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar languages), experience with DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes), and a deep understanding of AWS frameworks and infrastructure. Skill Requirements • In-depth Development Experience and Knowledge of AWS Platform and Services - e.g., S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, OpenSearch, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, etc. • In-depth Development Experience and Knowledge in Node.js/Python • In-depth Knowledge and Experience of DevOps Pipeline and Necessary Tools - e.g., CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodeArtifact, etc. • Experience in Developing Scalable and Efficient Code Using Serverless Technologies • Experience Designing and Implementing AWS-Based Solutions • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)Tools - Hands-on experience with AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to manage resources programmatically. • Experience with Monitoring and Logging via AWS Services - Knowledge of tools like Amazon CloudWatch, AWS X-Ray, or CloudTrail for debugging, performance insights, and auditing. • API Development and Integration -Building secure and scalable APIs using AWS API Gateway and integrating them with Lambda or other backend services. • In-depth knowledge and experience working with VPCs (Virtual Private Clouds) • Researching Market Trends Pertaining to Cloud, Recommending Best Practices, and Mentoring Teams to Build Necessary Competency • Ability to Quickly Establish Credibility and Trustworthiness with the Organization • Studying Existing On-prem Environment and Defining a Cloud Migration Strategy • Meeting with Infrastructure and Application Teams to Gather Project Requirements • Facilitating Conversations with Various Teams during Every Phase of Project Implementation • Ensuring Project Design and Implementation Follow Already Defined Guidelines by the Organization • Overseeing Build of the Environment and Validating Environment Meets Security and Compliance Controls • Developing Proofs of Concept and Proofs of Technology of AWS Serverless Services and Other AWS Technologies Certifications: • AWS Certified Developer – Associate (Required) • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional(Preferred)
