Role description
Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer (Onsite) Location: Stamford, CT (Local Only) Job Type: Contract Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS to support enterprise applications and services. β€’ Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK. β€’ Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools. β€’ Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, scaling, and monitoring tasks. β€’ Monitor system performance and availability using AWS CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party monitoring tools. Required Qualifications: β€’ 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, Lambda, RDS, ECS, EKS, etc.). β€’ Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. β€’ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools: Jenkins, GitLab, AWS CodeDeploy, etc. β€’ Familiarity with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS). β€’ Strong understanding of networking, IAM, and security best practices in cloud environments. β€’ Experience with scripting in Python, Bash, or Shell. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional or DevOps Engineer certification. β€’ Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, Prometheus). β€’ Experience with cost monitoring and optimization in AWS environments. β€’ Background in Linux system administration or DevOps roles.
