Top Skills' Details • Senior level developer with experience building solutions, web APIs, and specifically a background in Typescript / Javascript • AWS experience with services - Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, and container service • Experience using AWS CDK with typescript to deploy to AWS Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Engineer to lead the design and implementation of mission-critical, cloud-native applications on AWS. This role requires expert-level AWS CDK skills, deep knowledge of API security, and strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams in building scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions for energy transmission operations. Required Skills & Experience Core Technical Expertise • 8+ years in software development, with 5+ years in cloud architecture roles. • Expert-level proficiency in AWS CDK (TypeScript) including advanced constructs and custom resources. • Deep knowledge of AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, CloudFormation, ECS/EKS. • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise APIs with proper authentication & authorization. • Strong programming background in TypeScript/JavaScript with modern frameworks and libraries. Security & Authentication • Expert knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API key management. • Experience with multi-layered security architectures: IAM, VPC segmentation, encryption (in transit & at rest). • Familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to critical infrastructure. DevOps & CI/CD • Hands-on experience designing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent). • Proficiency with containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless architectures. • Skilled in monitoring, logging, and alerting with CloudWatch, X-Ray, and third-party APM tools. Key Responsibilities & Skills • Lead the design and implementation of complex, scalable cloud-native applications using AWS services, driving architectural decisions for mission-critical energy systems. • Define and enforce Enterprise Architecture standards, best practices, and coding guidelines, while conducting technical reviews and providing guidance on design, performance, and security. • Architect and develop infrastructure solutions with AWS CDK (TypeScript), design and implement CI/CD pipelines, optimize AWS resource utilization and costs, and mentor teams on advanced CDK patterns. • Apply expertise in Docker and containerization as part of infrastructure design. • Design and build robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implementing enterprise-grade security frameworks (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API Gateway authentication, RBAC), enforcing versioning strategies, documentation standards, and monitoring. • Lead cross-functional engineering teams, providing technical mentorship, fostering continuous learning and innovation, and aligning solutions with business objectives. • Demonstrate success in large-scale system implementations, managing technical debt, migrations, and architectural transformations, while establishing processes that improve productivity and code quality. • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, translating requirements into scalable solutions, and communicating complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. • Exhibit strong business collaboration, written, and verbal communication skills to bridge the gap between technical and business teams.
