Job Title: AWS Cloud Engineer β Contract-to-Hire
Location: Hybrid β 2+ Days/Week Onsite in Lansing, MI
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled AWS Cloud Engineer to join our Fortune 500 Insurance client's Analytics team. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential, supporting both the current AWS implementation and the broader rollout of future cloud-based analytics initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have 1β2 years of hands-on AWS experience, particularly in implementing AWS solutions in a corporate environment. Youβll work closely with cross-functional teams to build, deploy, and manage cloud-native applications and infrastructure using modern AWS services and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain .NET-based AWS Lambda functions integrated with:
β’ API Gateway
β’ Amazon S3
β’ CloudWatch
β’ Secrets Manager
β’ Configure API Gateway to trigger Lambda functions and enforce secure access using mutual TLS (mTLS).
β’ Set up and manage logging, error tracking, and metrics using Amazon CloudWatch.
β’ Manage SSL/TLS certificates with AWS Certificate Manager (ACM).
β’ Use Route 53 private hosted zones for internal DNS resolution within VPCs.
β’ Define and manage IAM roles and policies to ensure secure access to AWS resources.
β’ Utilize the AWS CLI for command-line resource management.
β’ Deploy infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CDK and AWS SAM.
β’ Collaborate with the Analytics team to support scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions.
Preferred Experience:
β’ Prior experience implementing AWS in a corporate or enterprise setting.
β’ Familiarity with a broad range of AWS services, including but not limited to:
β’ AWS Glue
β’ SageMaker
β’ Secrets Manager
β’ SQS
β’ API Gateway
β’ S3
β’ CloudFront
β’ CloudFormation
β’ Step Functions
β’ Lambda
β’ ECR

Qualifications:
β’ 1β2 years of hands-on AWS experience.
β’ Strong background in .NET development.
