AWS Connect Engineer | Remote | National | Longterm Optomi, in partnership with a leading cloud solutions provider, is seeking an experienced AWS Connect Engineer to join their team in the U.S.! This engagement focuses on migrating existing contact center applications to Amazon Connect in the GovCloud region. The project includes building a comprehensive omni-channel solution (voice, chat, video, email, tasks), integrating with multiple third-party systems for intelligent routing, and enhancing customer experience through advanced NLU, IVR flow development, and reusable modules for functions like voicemail and customer verification. What the right candidate will enjoy! β€’ Opportunity to design and implement cutting-edge omni-channel contact center solutions β€’ Exposure to GovCloud and advanced AWS cloud architecture β€’ Collaboration with business and technical teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions Experience of the right candidate: β€’ 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation β€’ 3+ years of Amazon Connect developer experience β€’ Understanding of Amazon Connect capabilities β€’ Contact flow/module development and deployment β€’ 3rd party API calls, CRM and other backend integrations β€’ Experience building and deploying Amazon Lex bots for voice and chat. β€’ Natural Language Understanding (NLU) implementation β€’ Designing conversational flows and intents β€’ Bot testing and optimization β€’ Proficiency in services like API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, IAM etc. β€’ Experience with REST APIs and web services integration β€’ AWS certifications preferred (e.g., Solutions Architect Associate) β€’ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience with CloudFormation or Terraform β€’ Automation and scripting skills (Python) Responsibilities of the right candidate: β€’ Migrate legacy contact center apps into Amazon Connect in GovCloud β€’ Design and configure omni-channel solutions (voice, chat, video, email, tasks) β€’ Develop advanced contact flows, IVR modules, and reusable functions β€’ Integrate Amazon Connect with third-party APIs, CRMs, and backends β€’ Build and optimize Amazon Lex bots for voice and chat β€’ Implement NLU and conversational AI features β€’ Ensure secure, scalable architecture with IAM, Lambda, and API Gateway β€’ Support infrastructure automation with Terraform or CloudFormation β€’ Collaborate with AWS ProServe, business stakeholders, and engineering teams β€’ Deliver real-time analytics, intelligent routing, and a unified agent experience
