Role description
Job Title: AWS Data Engineer – Unified Data Platform Duration: 6 months + Possible Extension Location: Remote Job Description: We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Engineer to manage and enhance our Unified Data Platform (UDP). In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines and data workflows that support enterprise-wide data integration and analytics. You will develop cloud-native solutions using AWS services such as Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, and EC2, while ensuring high performance, cost efficiency, and system reliability. The ideal candidate has strong PL/SQL development skills, expertise in relational data modeling, and experience supporting both transactional and analytical environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver system testing, application integration, and ongoing platform improvements. A strong commitment to data integrity, governance, and regulatory compliance (including HIPAA) is essential. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain AWS-based ETL pipelines and data workflows • Build scalable, cloud-native solutions using Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, and EC2 • Develop and optimize PL/SQL code and relational data models • Ensure data integrity, governance, and HIPAA compliance • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for testing, integration, and enhancements • Monitor and optimize platform performance and cost Qualifications: • Strong experience with AWS data services and cloud architectures • Hands-on expertise in ETL/ELT development • Proficiency in PL/SQL and relational data modeling • Experience working in large-scale data environments • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (HIPAA a plus)
