Role description
Title: Devops Engineer Location: Reston, VA (Hybrid) Duration: 12+ months We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and log management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline deployment processes and ensure system reliability. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS β€’ Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab β€’ Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and CloudFormation β€’ Collaborate with the Splunk team to deploy applications, manage AWS logs, and support log ingestion and analysis β€’ Work with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration β€’ Implement DevOps best practices to improve reliability, scalability, and security β€’ Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external standards Required Skills & Qualifications: β€’ Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including but not limited to: o EC2 for compute provisioning o S3 for object storage o IAM for identity and access management o CloudFormation for infrastructure as code o Kinesis and Firehose for real-time data streaming and delivery o CloudWatch for monitoring, logging, and alerting o Lambda for serverless computing and event-driven architecture β€’ Proficiency in GitLab for version control and CI/CD pipeline management β€’ Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code β€’ Experience working with Splunk for log management, particularly in AWS environments β€’ Solid understanding of DevOps principles and tools β€’ Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell β€’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail β€’ Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Preferred Qualifications: β€’ AWS Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) β€’ Familiarity with security best practices in cloud environments β€œMindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.”
