Role description
Position Summary Contractor Onsite - Seattle Work you'll do We are seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to support the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimization of cloud solutions for the project team. This role will be responsible for configuring and maintaining AWS infrastructure, automating deployment and monitoring processes, troubleshooting cloud environment issues, and supporting cloud migration activities. Key Responsibilities β€’ Build, configure, and maintain AWS infrastructure components including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPCs. β€’ Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of secure, scalable, and reliable cloud environments. β€’ Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational processes using AWS native services and scripting, primarily in Python. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues across AWS environments, integrations, and data workflows. β€’ Assist in migrating applications, databases, and data pipelines to AWS cloud environments. β€’ Develop and support data solutions leveraging Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and AWS Lambda. β€’ Monitor system health, performance, and availability, and implement improvements as needed. β€’ Ensure AWS deployments align with security, compliance, and governance requirements. β€’ Collaborate with project teams, architects, developers, and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions effectively. β€’ Document configurations, processes, and operational procedures to support maintainability and knowledge transfer. Required Skills & Qualifications β€’ Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure engineering. β€’ Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and operational support. β€’ Strong experience with Amazon Redshift (must have). β€’ Experience with AWS Glue, Amazon Athena, and AWS Lambda. β€’ Experience provisioning and supporting core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC. β€’ Knowledge of cloud deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident resolution. β€’ Understanding of AWS security, governance, and compliance best practices. β€’ Experience supporting cloud migrations, including applications and data. β€’ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced project environment. β€’ Effective communication and collaboration skills. The expected pay range for this contract assignment is $ 65-$70 per hour.β€― The exact pay rate will vary based on skills, experience, and location and will be determined by the third-party whose employees provide services to Deloitte.
