AWS Enterprise Engineer / Architect

Role: AWS Enterprise engineer / Architect Location: San Antonio TX (Day 1 Onsite) Type: 12+ months contract Job Description • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred. • Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience within financial services, mortgage, or insurance industries, including at least 5 years in an architecture leadership role. Required Technical Skills & Expertise • Strong AWS expertise, specifically: • AWS DataSync, AWS Storage Gateway, S3, API Gateway • Cloud cost optimization strategies and implementation • Hands-on experience with IBM WebMethods, Dell Boomi, SnapLogic, or Workato • Designing and governing enterprise API Management solutions • OpenText Captiva • Infrrd Intelligent Document Platform • Opex Imaging and Scanning Solutions • DevSecOps principles and secure SDLC • CI/CD pipeline implementation with: • Azure DevOps • GitHub • Backstage (developer portal enablement) • End-to-end AI/ML model development to production deployment (MLOps) • Familiarity with AI frameworks, Intelligent Sales Agent solutions, and MLOps platforms • Snowflake architecture, data ingestion pipelines, and optimization • Data hub creation and development for cross-domain analytics • Leading Architecture Review Boards • Establishing and enforcing architecture standards, patterns, and principles • Technology stack rationalization and modernization planning • Hands-on detailed architecture design, including infrastructure automation • Lucidchart (or equivalent) for architecture modeling and communication Key Responsibilities • Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategy, standards, and roadmaps aligned with client business objectives. • Provide hands-on architecture design and guidance for large programs and initiatives across cloud, integration, AI/ML, and data domains. • Drive cloud adoption and optimization strategies ensuring security, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Architect and govern integration and API management solutions to enable secure, scalable business capabilities. • Lead AI/ML architecture enablement, ensuring production-grade MLOps practices and intelligent automation use cases. • Enable and review DevSecOps pipelines, developer portals, and modern delivery platforms. • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to drive technology stack rationalization initiatives. • Facilitate Architecture Review Board (ARB) sessions, ensuring solution alignment to enterprise standards and strategic objectives. • Guide teams in data platform architecture, ingestion patterns, and data hub designs leveraging Snowflake and modern analytics ecosystems. • Mentor engineers and solution architects to build deep technical capability across the organization. Preferred Certifications • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional • TOGAF, Zachman, or SAFe Architect certifications • AI/ML related certifications (AWS, Azure, Google) • Relevant integration platform certifications (IBM, Dell Boomi, SnapLogic, Workato) Soft Skills & Competencies • Strong executive communication and influence skills • Ability to context switch across strategic, tactical, and operational discussions • High sense of ownership, integrity, and proactive leadership • Collaborative mindset to work across business units, product teams, and infrastructure teams.
