Role description
Weβre looking for a Cloud Resilience Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS) to strengthen our cloud reliability and chaos engineering practices.
What Youβll Do
β’ Design and run chaos engineering experiments using AWS FIS to test real-world failure scenarios (e.g., latency, EC2 termination, API throttling).
β’ Partner with SRE, DevOps, and Application teams to identify critical services and failure modes.
β’ Automate experiments with Python, Bash, Terraform, or CloudFormation for consistency and scalability.
β’ Analyze test results, recommend improvements, and enhance system resilience.
β’ Integrate chaos testing into CI/CD pipelines for continuous resilience validation.
β’ Monitor and troubleshoot performance during experiments using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
β’ Document and share best practices for fault tolerance and high availability.
What Weβre Looking For
β’ 3+ years in Cloud/SRE/DevOps roles with proven AWS expertise (EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM, Auto Scaling).
β’ Hands-on experience designing/executing fault injection scenarios with AWS FIS.
β’ Strong scripting/automation (Python, Bash) and IaC experience (Terraform, CloudFormation).
β’ Deep knowledge of distributed systems, HA, DR strategies.
β’ Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Bonus Points
β’ AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, SysOps).
β’ Experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and containers.
β’ Familiarity with other chaos tools (Gremlin, Chaos Mesh, LitmusChaos).
β’ CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
