About the Role We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to design and deliver enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions. You will lead the design of modern cloud-based data platforms, integrate advanced analytics and ML capabilities, and partner with both business and technical stakeholders to drive measurable impact. Key Responsibilities Architectural Leadership Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data lakehouse solutions using AWS services (Lake Formation, Redshift, S3, Glue). Define enterprise data strategies spanning ingestion, processing, storage, and governance. Establish best practices and standards that ensure performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability. Advanced Analytics & AI/ML Integration Integrate data platforms with ML services, particularly Amazon SageMaker, for training and deployment. Enable scalable model deployment through structured data pipelines and workflows. Develop analytics frameworks supporting batch and real-time data needs. Infrastructure Excellence Leverage AWS Systems Manager and other automation tools for infrastructure operations. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with CloudFormation or Terraform. Ensure operational excellence via monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies. Cost Optimization & Security Develop cost optimization strategies (resource right-sizing, data lifecycle efficiency). Enforce cloud security best practices and compliance with regulatory standards. Establish governance frameworks for data quality, lineage, and secure access. Collaboration & Leadership Partner with engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable solutions. Present architecture recommendations to senior leadership. Mentor junior engineers and architects, promoting a culture of learning and innovation. Qualifications Professional Experience 5+ years as a Solutions/Cloud Architect with a focus on data and analytics. Experience implementing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms on AWS. Proven ability to lead projects from design to deployment. AWS Technical Expertise Data & Analytics: Redshift, Lake Formation, Glue, S3, EMR, Kinesis. AI/ML: SageMaker for training, deployment, and MLOps. Management & Governance: IAM, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, AWS Config, CloudTrail. Integration & Orchestration: DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation frameworks. Technical Skills Cloud architecture and security design expertise. Strong background in data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehouse principles. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and automation tools. Certifications Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate. Preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or AWS Data Analytics – Specialty. Additional AWS or cloud certifications are a plus.
