Role description
Hi, Position: AWS/API engineer Location: Seattle, WA(Locals only) Responsibilities β€’ Rapidly understand legacy systems from which data will be sourced and, working independently, implement a mechanism to extract from them β€’ Determine and implement means to circumvent data extraction limitations in legacy systems β€’ Write clean, concise code that is stable, extensible and unit-tested appropriately β€’ Communicate frequently and effectively with other engineers on the team in addition to our product managers, scrum masters and project managers. β€’ Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend and execute the best resolution β€’ Implement new requirements within our Agile delivery methodology while following our established architectural principles β€’ Manage detailed application requirements and collaborate with project /development teams to ensure quality function, features and user experience β€’ Provides planning and design support for the development of solution architectures that will be implemented in a multiple system environment β€’ Communicates across client community, and is viewed as adding value β€’ Provides input into the architecture and design of the product, collaborating with the team in solving problems the right way β€’ Works within established continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices Qualifications β€’ 3+ years of hands-on software development experience with Node JS, preferably in the AWS environment β€’ Proven expertise in developing REST APIs including tooling for documentation β€’ Experience working in continuous integration and continuous delivery environments β€’ Working knowledge of various database technologies, such as SQL Databases (MySql, Postgres) β€’ Demonstrated knowledge in independently analyzing legacy systems and determining the best way to extract data from them using any plausible techniques, such as β€œethical hacking” β€’ Knowledge of cloud development using AWS Lambda β€’ Experience using modern development tools such as git, docker, etc. β€’ Experience working on an Agile team β€’ Excellent communication skills, written & verbal β€’ Strong motivation to learn new things and take on challenging projects with a positive attitude β€’ Ability to work in a collaborative team environment or alone and autonomously as needed β€’ Previous consulting experience is preferred.
