Kforce has a client in Hopkins, MN that is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer. Summary: We are seeking a skilled developer with exposure to Azure Cloud environment to lead and execute the migration of enterprise applications from on-premises environments to Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Azure services, cloud migration tools, and infrastructure automation, along with strong collaboration and documentation skills. Key Responsibilities:
β’ Lead end-to-end migration of applications from on-premises to Azure cloud
β’ Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and other DevOps tools
β’ Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, and Ansible
β’ Ensure security and compliance with IAM policies, encryption standards, and regulatory frameworks (NIST, ISO, SOC2)
β’ Perform cloud readiness assessments and identify application dependencies and risks
β’ Modernize applications through rehosting, refactoring, or rearchitecting strategies
β’ Optimize performance and cost post-migration, including scaling and resource management
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application owners, DBAs, and compliance officers
β’ Manage change control processes including cutover plans and rollback strategies
Requirements
β’ Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500)
β’ Proven experience with Azure infrastructure and services (VMs, SQL, Storage, Networking, AAD)
β’ Hands-on experience with cloud migration tools and hybrid management using Azure Arc
β’ Strong knowledge of IaC and automation frameworks
β’ Familiarity with cloud security best practices and compliance requirements
β’ Experience in structured and unstructured data migration and validation
β’ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
β’ Background in financial services or regulated industries
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
