Azure Data Engineer – 12-Month FTC – Up to £70,000
Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite)
Contract: Fixed Term (12 months)
A well-established organisation is looking for an Azure Engineer to join their Intelligent Automation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a great opportunity to contribute to meaningful AI and automation initiatives that have real impact across the business.
You’ll work closely with senior developers, product owners, analysts, and business stakeholders to design and deliver scalable data pipelines and Azure-based solutions. Your work will directly support machine learning and process automation projects.
This role is ideal for someone confident working in agile environments, with strong hands-on experience in Azure development and a passion for solving real-world problems through technology.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain data processing pipelines using Azure services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, user stories, and technical solutions
• Contribute to solution architecture and sprint planning
• Ensure high-quality, secure, and timely delivery of solutions
• Identify and implement improvements to existing systems and processes
• Produce high- and low-level technical specifications
• Share knowledge with the wider tech team and help produce process documentation
Required Experience
• 2–3 years of experience building and deploying large-scale data pipelines in Azure
• Hands-on experience with:
• Azure Data Factory
• Logic Apps
• Azure Functions, Azure Batch
• SQL, Cosmos DB
• Azure DevOps (CI/CD)
• Bicep templates
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Agile delivery experience, with ability to estimate and break down tasks effectively
Desirable
• Experience with Power Platform
• Familiarity with Python or another programming language
