Position: Azure Data Engineer
Location: Atlanta, Georgia 30334 (Hybrid)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Only Local to Atlanta, GA candidates accepted.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
β’ 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles, preferably in government or regulated environments
β’ Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark.
β’ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows, Pipelines, Notebooks, OneLake)
β’ Experience with Power BI data modeling and dashboard development
β’ Familiarity with data governance tools (Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog)
β’ Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing concepts, and schema design
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer or Azure Data Engineer Associate
β’ Knowledge of CI/CD automation with Azure DevOps
β’ Familiarity with data security and compliance (e.g., FIPS 199, NIST)
β’ Experience managing sunset and modernization of legacy reporting systems like SSRS
