Role description
Duration: 12+ months
Location: 3 days onsite to Plano, TX
Responsibilities:
β’ Architect and implement Azure solutions spanning storage/compute/integration/network/IAM.
β’ Define and maintain Terraform modules and pipelines to provision and manage infrastructure.
β’ Build and operate CI/CD workflows (Jenkins/Spinnaker) for application and infrastructure delivery.
β’ Develop and maintain services/tools/automation in Python (leveraging Azure SDK) following full SDLC.
β’ Containerize workloads and manage runtime on Kubernetes; ensure reliability and performance.
β’ Uphold security, compliance, and policy governance across environments; drive operational stability.
Requirements:
β’ 5+ years of applied experience across Azure services: Storage, Compute, Integration, IAM, Network.
β’ Strong Terraform (IaC) skills and practical cloud-native delivery experience.
β’ Proficiency with automation/CI/CD pipelines and tools, including Jenkins and Spinnaker.
β’ Experience with Git (branching, PRs, code reviews).
β’ Proficiency in at least one programming language—Python preferred—plus experience with the Azure SDK; full-SDLC proficiency.
β’ Familiarity with containerization and orchestration: Docker and Kubernetes.
β’ Ability to independently diagnose and resolve design/functionality issues with little to no oversight.
β’ Hands-on delivery across system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
β’ Demonstrated proficiency in software applications/technical processes within technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, AI, machine learning, mobile).
β’ In-depth knowledge of the financial-services industry and related IT systems.
β’ Security, Policy & Governance (client emphasis)
β’ Experience writing and testing Azure Policies; strong understanding of Azure policies and governance.
β’ Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments (e.g., secure IAM/RBAC usage, network segmentation, secrets management, baseline hardening).
β’ Ability to operationalize governance (policy lifecycle, assignments/initiatives, compliance monitoring, remediation).
Preferred skills:
β’ Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
β’ HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (plus).
β’ Understanding of Azure AI services (plus).
β’ Proven ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies.
