Role description
Our client is seeking an experienced Azure Databricks Engineer to design, develop, and optimize data solutions for their financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building Lakehouse architectures in Azure and Databricks, with a strong understanding of data engineering best practices in highly regulated industries. This is a fully remote position. Azure Databricks Engineer’s Responsibilities and Duties: β€’ Design, implement, and maintain scalable Lakehouse architectures in Azure using Databricks. β€’ Develop, optimize, and manage large-scale data pipelines and ETL processes. β€’ Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to ensure data solutions meet regulatory, performance, and quality standards. β€’ Apply best practices for data engineering, including data modeling, governance, and security in a regulated environment. β€’ Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize Databricks workloads for efficiency and reliability. Azure Databricks Engineer’s Qualifications and Skills: β€’ At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years focused on Azure Databricks. β€’ Proven experience building and maintaining Lakehouse architectures in Azure Databricks. β€’ Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and Databricks environment. β€’ Experience working in financial services preferred; experience in other highly regulated industries acceptable. β€’ Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
