About the Role
Our Data Solutions team is seeking a seasoned Azure Databricks Lead to join our US-based client engagement. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded data professional proficient in all aspects of data management, including data modeling, enterprise data warehouse (EDW) design, and ETL development. You will collaborate closely with onshore teams to deliver high-quality service and solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and unit test large-scale data warehouse applications that meet business process requirements.
Create complex SQL statements and embed them within Ab Initio to deliver expected business results.
Develop efficient, high-quality data integration code, leveraging the most relevant Ab Initio features.
Interpret business requirements, perform complex analyses, and present options and recommendations.
Create, update, and maintain functional and technical design specifications (HLD/LLD).
Conduct unit testing, troubleshoot, and resolve system or application performance issues.
Document data movement schemes and mappings between applications.
Communicate effectively and coordinate with onshore teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
Required Skills
15+ years of experience in ETL development.
Strong experience with Ab Initio components: Rollup, Scan, Join, Partition by Key, Partition by Round Robin, Gather, Merge, Interleave, Lookup, etc.
Hands-on experience with Ab Initio EME, GDE, parallelism techniques, and graph development using Data, Pipeline, and Component parallelism.
Expertise in SQL, UNIX shell scripting, and performance tuning.
Solid understanding of continuous-flow graphs and their implementation.
Technical experience in design (mapping specs, HLD, LLD), development (coding, unit testing) using Ab Initio.
Strong data warehousing and data modeling skills, including EDW design, data mapping, and ETL execution.
Desired Skills
Experience with Teradata or other BI tools.
