• This is a contract-to-hire position through CDW working for our end client. The role converts to permanent employment with the client after 6 month contract period. ~$90k - $100k salary conversion.
• 100% remote
• Ideal candidate will have around 2-5 years of professional experience that can learn, grow, and develop with the company.
JOB DESCRIPTION / HIRING MANAGER NOTES:
• Mostly an Azure shop
• Need someone with solid Powershell scripting experience (not just copy/paste, true scripting skills)
• Need someone with solid Terraform & Kubernetes experience
• Linux scripting important
• Infrastructure as code important
• Github etc
The role involves implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure primarily using Azure, with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Kubernetes. The ideal candidate should have experience in cloud security, Linux, scripting (Python or Bash), PowerShell, Docker, Git, DevOps. Knowledge of Spacelift is a plus. The position requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with development and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management processes.
• Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, and reliable.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support cloud initiatives.
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and perform necessary maintenance.
• Document infrastructure designs and processes.
• Implement best practices for cloud security and compliance.
Experience
• 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a similar role.
• Proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of Spacelift is a plus.
