About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Engineer to join a leading Tier One banking institution in London on a 3-month fixed-term basis. This role is to provide interim cover for a key team member and will focus on maintaining and enhancing our Azure-based infrastructure and services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including DevOps, Security, and Application Development to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support Azure infrastructure including IaaS, PaaS, and networking components.
Monitor and troubleshoot Azure services and resources to ensure high availability and performance.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Complete general administrative tasks
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Azure Engineer or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in a financial services environment.
Strong hands-on experience with core Azure services (VMs, VNets, Azure AD, Key Vault, App Services, etc.).
Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with security and compliance standards in banking (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks).
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
