Role description

The global solutions team is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Architect to support a confidential financial initiative focused on building a next-generation financial data platform. This role blends strategic architecture with hands-on engineering, designing enterprise-level data models, leading cloud data migrations, and developing advanced data processing pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure services. The position plays a critical role in shaping a modern, scalable financial data ecosystem with complex upstream data integrations. Location & Work Type Location: Universal City, CA Work Type: Hybrid / Remote Key Responsibilities β€’ Architect, design, and hands-on develop end-to-end data solutions using Azure Data Services and Microsoft Fabric. β€’ Build and maintain complex data models in Azure SQL, Lakehouse, and Fabric environments that support advanced financial calculations. β€’ Lead and execute data migration efforts from multiple upstream and legacy systems into Azure and Fabric. β€’ Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines, Data Factory, and Azure engineering tools. β€’ Perform hands-on SQL development, including stored procedures, query optimization, performance tuning, and data transformation logic. β€’ Partner with finance, engineering, and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, maintainable data solutions. β€’ Ensure data quality, lineage, profiling, and governance across ingestion and transformation layers. β€’ Tune and optimize Azure SQL databases and Fabric Lakehouse environments for performance and cost efficiency. β€’ Troubleshoot data processing and pipeline issues to maintain stability and reliability. β€’ Document architecture, data flows, engineering standards, and best practices. Qualifications Required: β€’ Experience Leading Microsoft Fabric Migrations β€’ Microsoft Azure Tools Experience β€’ Expert, hands-on experience with Azure Data Services (Azure SQL, Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Azure Storage). β€’ Experience designing a Fabric Platform and POC β€’ Deep working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including Data Engineering workloads, Lakehouse, Fabric SQL, Pipelines, and governance. β€’ Strong experience designing and building data models within Azure SQL and Fabric architectures. β€’ Proven track record delivering large-scale data migrations into Azure environments. β€’ Advanced proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, including stored procedures, indexing, and performance tuning. β€’ Demonstrated success building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines for complex financial or multi-source datasets. β€’ Understanding of financial systems, data structures, and complex calculation logic. β€’ Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations.
