Role description
IC Resources are currently working with a valued client in Oxford in the medical device sector who are looking for a Back End Cloud Engineer on a contract basis.
Your work will involve:
• Developing backend services and APIs.
• Designing and managing cloud infrastructure (preferably on Google Cloud).
• Monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing systems.
• Applying security best practices and ensuring compliance.
• Collaborating closely with other teams (software, product, bioware, chemistry, hardware) to integrate solutions smoothly.
Skills you’ll need
• Strong experience in backend development (Python + another language like Java, Go, or Node.js).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and databases (SQL & NoSQL).
• Good understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and DevOps tools (CI/CD, Docker, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
