About the Role We are seeking a Backup & Cyber Resilience Engineer to join our infrastructure modernization team. This role focuses on strengthening enterprise data protection, ransomware resilience, and disaster recovery capabilities across hybrid environments. You will design, implement, and support modern backup systems, immutable storage, cyber-vaulting mechanisms, and continuous replication/DR platforms. This is a hands-on engineering position working with enterprise storage, virtualization, hyperconverged systems, and security-focused backup technologies. MANDATORY Requirements: β€’ 4+ years in enterprise backup, DR, or storage engineering. β€’ Hands-on experience with at least one modern backup platform (Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault, Dell Data Domain/Networker, Veeam, etc.). β€’ Working knowledge of VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V, or hybrid-cloud infrastructure. β€’ Experience implementing ransomware-resilient backup designs (immutable storage, vaulting, air-gap strategies). β€’ Experience with DR/BCP platforms such as Zerto, SRM, or native cloud DR tools. β€’ Strong understanding of storage architectures, replication, and data integrity . Certifications ( You must have ONE or more of the following certifications) β€’ Veeam VMCE, Dell EMC, Commvault, Rubrik, or Cohesity certifications β€’ VMware VCP or Nutanix NCP/NCM β€’ Zerto Certified Professional (ZCP) β€’ Security+ or equivalent security certification β€’ ITIL Foundation Core Responsibilities Backup & Recovery Engineering β€’ Deploy, configure, and optimize enterprise backup platforms β€’ (e.g., Dell, Cohesity, Rubrik, Commvault, Veeam). β€’ Implement retention policies, backup schedules, encryption, and SLA-based workflows. β€’ Perform file-level, system-level, and application-level restores. β€’ Troubleshoot backup failures, performance issues, and protection gaps. β€’ Integrate backup systems with virtualized and cloud environments. Cyber Resilience & Ransomware Protection β€’ Implement immutable storage, air-gapped recovery, and anomaly detection tools. β€’ Configure cyber-vaulting workflows and secure data-ingestion pipelines. β€’ Conduct ransomware simulation testing and recovery exercises. β€’ Harden access controls, credentials, and audit logging for backup platforms. Disaster Recovery Engineering β€’ Deploy and configure DR tools such as Zerto, Site Recovery Manager, or similar. β€’ Set up continuous replication and validate failover/failback procedures. β€’ Test DR runbooks, journal retention, replication health, and recovery objectives. β€’ Support DR drills, documentation, and cross-team coordination. Infrastructure Integration β€’ Work with VMware, Nutanix, or other hypervisors to ensure consistent backup/DR coverage. β€’ Validate snapshots, replication, and integration across clusters and storage tiers. β€’ Assist with storage optimization, security hardening, and monitoring. Documentation & Collaboration β€’ Maintain engineering runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge-base documentation. β€’ Provide input to architecture teams on backup/DR readiness and improvements. β€’ Train internal teams on best practices for backup, recovery, and cyber resilience.
