BI Administrator

Responsibilities Kforce has a client in Altamonte Springs, FL that is seeking a skilled Fabric and Power BI Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in administering Power BI environments and a solid understanding of Fabric concepts. This role involves managing Power BI and Fabric infrastructure, with 20% of the time dedicated to hands-on development of data solutions. As part of the BI Administrators team the BI administrator will work with the team to provide technical solutions and guidance to team members that includes, but is not limited to Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Qlik and other tools as determined by the organization. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for analyzing host machines, applying application patches, upgrades, product enhancements, and managing code deployments through both non-production and production environments. Key Responsibilities: • Administer Power BI Environment: Manage and maintain the Power BI environment, including user access, security settings, and workspace configurations • Optimize Infrastructure: Utilize Fabric concepts to optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval for improved performance and efficiency • Monitor and Troubleshoot: Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure smooth operation of Power BI and Fabric systems • Hands-on Development: Spend 20% of the time developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business needs • Data Integration: Integrate Power BI with various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical support • Ensure Compliance: Implement and maintain data security measures in compliance with organizational policies • Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in Power BI and Fabric technologies Requirements • Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in STEM, or higher in Information Systems/Technology, Engineering or Computer Science • Certification in Power BI or related technologies is a plus • Proven experience in administering Power BI environments and hands-on development of Power BI reports and dashboards • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Fabric concepts and their application in data solutions • Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL and data modeling • Integration Skills: Experience with data integration and ETL processes • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills • Communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills • Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Achieves Results: Reflects a drive to achieve and outperform, continuously looking for improvements, and accepts responsibility for actions and results • Communication Skills: Exhibits excellent oral and written communication skills • Critical Thinking: Methodically analyzes and evaluates business problems by defining the challenges, identifying alternatives, and making timely decisions • Problem Solving: Identifies and solves problems using data collection methods, analysis, experience, and judgment • Develops Self: Understands own strengths and development needs, learns from experience, and owns personal development • Service Orientation: Listens to and understands the customer, anticipates customer needs, and gives high priority to customer satisfaction Preferred • Cloud Platforms: Experience/knowledge with cloud platforms such as Azure, Snowflake, etc. • BI Tools: Familiarity with other BI tools and technologies like Business Objects, Qlik, etc. The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
