Role description
Senior BI Analyst – Contract - ASAP START DATE! We’re looking for a Senior BI Analyst to join the Analytics Engineering team at a global consumer marketplace. You’ll work at the intersection of Analytics Engineering and Insights, helping teams across the business with reporting and performant data models. This is an initial 6-month contract, outside IR35, 1 day per week in London, The Role β€’ Partner with BI platform users and data engineers to deliver performant, reliable reporting β€’ Support data producers and consumers in Looker, ensuring they get maximum value from the platform β€’ Take ownership of BI development in a modern data environment using Looker and LookML β€’ Design training, support, and guidance to grow self-serve BI adoption across the business β€’ Standardise and migrate Looker definitions upstream into the data stack, simplifying and improving performance Tech Stack β€’ Strong SQL skills with experience handling large, complex datasets β€’ Deep knowledge of LookML and proficiency in Looker (original, not Looker Studio) β€’ Experience creating scalable, reusable, and modular LookML code in large deployments β€’ Clear communicator, able to simplify complex concepts for a range of audiences β€’ Comfortable working autonomously and influencing BI priorities β€’ Data engineering and ELT principles, able to define requirements for data teams
