About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer with a strong background in Tableau and SQL, ideally within the property & casualty or commercial insurance industry. This individual will help expand and enhance our enterprise-level reporting and analytics platform, enabling smarter, data-driven decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enhance and maintain Tableau-based dashboards and reports that drive business performance.
• Partner with the Data Architect to design scalable, high-performing BI solutions.
• Leverage data from the enterprise data warehouse to create meaningful insights.
• Understand business needs and translate them into data visualizations and actionable reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between data and business strategy.
Must-Have Qualifications:
• Tableau Expertise: Recent and hands-on experience developing complex dashboards and visualizations.
• SQL Proficiency: Strong ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries on large datasets.
• Insurance Industry Experience: Direct experience with data and reporting in property & casualty or commercial insurance (health insurance does not qualify).
• Ability to grasp business context behind the data to produce insightful and relevant dashboards.
• Comfortable in a team environment with regular interaction with Data Architects and other developers.
• Open to conversion to full-time employment after initial contract phase.
Nice-to-Have:
• Experience working with enterprise data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, or similar).
• Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to Python, R, or data prep tools is a plus but not required.
