Role description
Piper Companies is seeking a BI Developer/Reporting Analyst to join a financial services organization located in San Antonio, Texas through a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity. The BI Developer/Reporting Analyst will provide insights into collections performance by analyzing data, automating reports and dashboards, and collaborating with teams to optimize recovery strategies and support compliance and decision-making.
Responsibilities of the BI Developer/Reporting Analyst Include:
β’ Analyze large volumes of collections and recovery data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic decisions.
β’ Design, automate, and maintain performance dashboards and reports using Excel, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
β’ Interpret and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics to stakeholders, highlighting actionable insights.
β’ Collaborate with collections, credit risk, and operations teams to evaluate and enhance debt recovery strategies and tactics.
β’ Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards; support audit and compliance efforts.
β’ Develop ad hoc analyses, scorecards, and visual presentations to monitor business trends, optimize processes, and guide strategic planning.
Qualifications for the BI Developer/Reporting Analyst include:
β’ 2+ years of experience in a data warehouse or analytics environment, preferably within financial services or collections.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
β’ Proficiency in SQL and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI; experience with Python or other analytics languages is a plus.
β’ Strong understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and regulatory frameworks like FDCPA and CFPB.
β’ Familiarity with collections systems (e.g., FICO Platform), credit risk, customer segmentation, and financial KPIs.
Compensation for the BI Developer/Reporting Analyst Include:
β’ Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000
