About The Opportunity
Our client, a leader in Autonomous Vehicles, is looking for a skilled BI Engineer to join their team for a 6+ months engagement. This project involves developing the data infrastructure for IoT Networking to translate complex telematics and cellular data into actionable business intelligence for their mission-critical vehicle fleet. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
This role is focused on the successful completion of specific tasks and deliverables. Your responsibilities will include:
β’ Connectivity Data Strategy: Partner directly with IoT Networking and Engineering teams to define and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for 4G/5G SA network health, Private APN performance, and overall vehicle connectivity quality.
β’ Data Pipeline Ownership: Develop, implement, and manage robust, scalable ETL pipelines, including the ingestion, transformation, and modeling of high-volume, real-time data from various vehicle systems and carrier connectivity logs.
β’ Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and maintain critical visualizations and dashboards using tools like Databricks or Looker that provide real-time insights into network availability, latency, carrier cost analysis, and connectivity usage trends.
β’ Deep Dive Analytics: Conduct complex ad-hoc analysis to troubleshoot network anomalies, diagnose recurring connectivity failures, and investigate data usage irregularities.
β’ Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for data models, schema, and metric definitions, ensuring data literacy across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of successful contract engagements. The ideal candidate will have:
β’ 6+ years of experience in a similar role.
β’ Deep expertise in SQL, dbt, building dimensional models, and proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker. This isn't a learning roleβyou need to be a subject matter expert.
β’ Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage your own time effectively to meet project goals.
β’ Experience with strong collaboration skills to partner with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
β’ Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team.
W2 only (No C2C or 1099 contractors)
