This BI Manager role requires critical thought leadership focused on developing analytical processes, tools, and strategy to drive improved performance throughout the supply chain. As the BI Manager, you will lead a team of analysts and senior analysts with wide-ranging technical abilities, guiding them through complex analytical challenges and system migrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in SQL, Tableau, and Python, and will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, optimized outputs that support strategic decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Planning & Implementation (10%): Define and execute departmental goals and objectives aligned with broader supply chain strategies.
β’ Problem Solving & Technical Oversight (40%): Provide scalable, sophisticated solutions to complex analytical and technical challenges. Review and optimize SQL queries to ensure performance efficiency and minimal server load.
β’ Project Management (10%): Lead and manage analytics projects with a focus on timely delivery, fiscal responsibility, and stakeholder satisfaction.
β’ Team Leadership (40%): Manage and develop a team of four BI analysts, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide technical guidance on SQL performance, Tableau dashboard optimization, and predictive modeling in Python.
β’ Quality Management: Ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and performance of all data, code, and reporting outputs. Validate deliverables before final review and deployment.
β’ System Migration Leadership: Oversee the migration from a legacy ERP to SAP and transition reporting to Snowflake. Guide the team in understanding new data structures and adapting reporting logic accordingly.
β’ Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with operations teams, IT, and external consultants to translate business needs into technical solutions. Communicate complex analytical processes in clear, actionable terms to leadership.
Qualifications
β’ 8-10 years of experience in BI/data analytics and reporting.
β’ Strong technical proficiency in:
β’ SQL (Advanced) β Emphasis on query optimization for Snowflake or similar platform.
β’ Tableau (Advanced) β Dashboard design and performance tuning.
β’ Python β Predictive modeling and data analysis.
β’ Excel (Advanced) β Financial modeling and decision support.
β’ Experience with Google BigQuery, SAP, or ERP-to-cloud migration projects.
β’ Proficient in data mining and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, Stata, Hadoop).
β’ Demonstrated project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
β’ Ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
β’ Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
