About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer to join Wells Fargo’s Operational Risk Data Integration & Delivery team. This team supports enterprise risk analytics and reporting by building and maintaining large-scale datasets within CARAT (Centralized Aggregated Risk & Analytics Tools) and RDS (Risk Data System – Hadoop/Hive).
Key Requirements:
Banking industry experience
Expertise in Hadoop, Hive, Spark
Migration experience: MS SQL Server → Hadoop/Hive
Strong SQL, ETL, and Data Modeling experience
Experience building & enhancing ETL pipelines
Tools: Confluence, Jenkins, GitHub
Excellent leadership & communication skills
Soft Skills:
• Ability to lead code reviews, perform feature analysis, and drive insight sessions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with banking and financial terminology
