Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Analyse large-scale NGS datasets (DNA-seq, RNA-seq, single-cell sequencing, etc.) to support oncology/cancer research initiatives.
β’ Develop, optimize, and maintain robust bioinformatics pipelines.
β’ Design and implement scalable data analysis workflows leveraging Docker for containerized reproducibility.
β’ Collaborate closely with biologists, clinicians, and data scientists to translate biological questions into computational solutions.
β’ Perform statistical analyses and data visualization using R and Python to interpret complex data.
Qualifications/Skills:
β’ Master's or PhD degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Genetics, or a related field.
β’ 7-10 years of professional experience in bioinformatics or computational biology, with a strong focus on Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis such as RNA-seq, DNA-seq (variant calling), methylome-seq, etc. preferably applied to oncology/cancer research.
β’ Proficiency in programming languages: R and Python (including libraries such as dplyr, ggplot2, pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, plotly etc.).
β’ Good understanding of oncology/cancer biology and related genomic technologies.
β’ Experience in oncology/cancer data analysis is a plus.
β’ Expertise in workflow management systems: Snakemake and Nextflow.
β’ Strong experience with Docker and containerization best practices.
β’ Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
β’ Solid background in statistical methods for biological data analysis.
β’ Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
β’ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
