Job Title: ML / Bioinformatics Data Scientist (Contract) Location: Remote (Must work PST) Pay rate: $50-63/hr Duration: 1-year contract (with possible extension) Overview: Seeking a motivated Bioinformatics/ML Scientist to join a cross-functional project focused on applying machine learning to multi-modal clinical trial datasets. The role involves data integration, feature engineering, and model development to predict patient risk for drug-induced liver toxicity. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Centralize, harmonize, and process multimodal datasets (omics, clinical, imaging, safety labs). β€’ Develop and apply ML models to predict patient risk for drug-induced liver toxicity. β€’ Collaborate with biologists, chemists, data scientists, and cross-functional teams. Qualifications: β€’ PhD in Computer Science, Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field. β€’ Strong track record with ML/statistical modeling and multimodal datasets. β€’ Expertise in Python/R for data manipulation, analysis, and ML model development. β€’ Experience with survival analysis; NLP/LLMs and neuroscience background preferred. β€’ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; strong publication record.
